Lead Accountant

LOCATION

South Side of Atlanta (3 days in office)

• Support the preparation of financial statements and variance reports on a timely basis
• Ideal will have a solid foundation in accounting, ability to work cross functionally and communicate at a high level with business and executive leaders
• Support the coordination of U.S. GAAP and IFRS reporting to ensure the timely, accurate completion of financial reports for all required filings
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to management
• Stay abreast of financial reporting and regulatory developments which can impact the company and ensure compliance with all regulations
• Perform advanced problem solving and complex variance analysis
• Assist with the coordination of the annual budget process
• Organize and manage projects to completion
• Establish, modify, document, and implement reporting processes and control procedures
• Help drive a performance-based culture and function as a business partner to the executive team, operational leaders, and other key stakeholders
• Mentor staff accountants within the function including completion of assigned duties and reporting responsibilities

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field required
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience
• Experience with analyzing large data (1000+rows) sets in Excel, Power BI, or similar
• Strong knowledge of US-GAAP required and exposure to IFRS preferred
• Full financial statement prep experience is preferred
• Previous experience gained in the manufacturing industry is preferred, no required
