Senior Accountant

Our client in Roswell, Ga has an immediate need for a Senior Accountant. This position functions as a key member of the Corporate Accounting team with significant involvement in acquisition as well as other company transaction accounting activities, and includes due diligence, purchase accounting and system and process integration support. In addition, this individual is responsible for month-end close processes, account reconciliations and financial reporting.

Duties include:

• Month end close
• Financial reporting
• Assist with auditors and account reconciliations
• M&A transactions and help drive post-acquisition integration activities

Prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX is a plus.

Primary duties include:

• Ensure selected general ledger accounts accurately reflect transactions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles including trade receivables, inventory, vendor rebates receivables, customer loyalty program payables, various clearing, reserve and accrual accounts, intercompany reconciliations, rent accruals and intangible assets.
• Prepare timely and accurate account reconciliations for selected accounts.
• Prepare schedules and journal entries as assigned to facilitate timely monthly close.
• Assist with annual audits, preparation of supporting schedules, analyses and audited financial statement documentation.
• Research technical accounting issues as needed.
• Assist with process improvement and expanded use of technology, including enhanced use of the Microsoft Dynamics AX accounting system.

Requirements:

• Minimum 4+ years of experience in an accounting role;
  Big 4 firm or public accounting experience is preferred.
• Minimum 2+ years in an accounting close and reporting role.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX or similar scale ERP platforms.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel experience is preferred.
• System Conversions – experience with environments that have upgraded or replaced ERP systems, as well as experience with reconciling data in connection with system conversions a plus.
• BS in Accounting or comparable business degree is required.
• CPA or CPA track strongly preferred.
