Accounting Generalist / AR-AP Specialist

Our client, an established manufacturer and distributor in the fastener industry, needs a sharp, adaptable accounting generalist to support AR and AP functions across multiple entities and systems. This is a chance to build a versatile skill set that touches every corner of the business — from collections to vendor payments to month-end close.

• Contract-to-hire structure with a built-in pay increase upon conversion
• Flexible start time — choose 7-4 or 8-5
• Cross-training across AR and AP functions, ideal for building a well-rounded accounting background
• Exposure to multiple ERP systems, a strong resume builder
• Clear path toward AR or AP specialization

• $20.00–$22.00/hr during contract; $25.00–$26.00/hr upon conversion to full-time

• Preparing and issuing customer invoices, applying payments, and monitoring aging
• Handling collections follow-up and resolving billing disputes
• Entering vendor invoices, performing invoice matching, and running weekly payment cycles
• Reconciling vendor statements and maintaining vendor master data
• Supporting month-end close with reconciliations and journal entries
• Assisting with cross-entity financial reporting

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred
• 3+ years of combined AR, AP, or general accounting experience
• Comfortable in Excel
• Manufacturing or distribution background preferred
• Multi-entity accounting experience
• High-volume experience highly preferred!
