Full Charge Bookkeeper

Martin Snow, LLP is seeking a full charge bookkeeper. The Full Charge Bookkeeper is a full-time, on-site position based in Macon, Georgia, responsible for managing the law firm’s day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping functions.

The successful candidate will have familiarity with a wide range of financial transactions, including experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and payroll, and demonstrate excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Essential responsibilities and skills include but are not limited to:

• Strong bookkeeping and accounting skills, including experience with general ledger maintenance and routine accounting operations
• General ledger entries and reconciliation
• Accounts receivable and accounts payable duties
• Track all income and expenses
• Compile and prepare financial reports for partners and firm leadership
• Perform payroll responsibilities timely and accurately
• Maintain order of accounting filing system
• Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements
• Follow accounting policies and procedures
• Strong organization and multi-tasking abilities
• Demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Other miscellaneous financial duties as assigned

Desired

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of related experience in bookkeeping or accounting is required
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
• CPA preferred
• Experience with accounting software and Excel; familiarity with law firm or professional services environments is a plus
