Job Description Marketing & Events Intern

Working alongside and taking direction from the Partnerships & Marketing Team, the Marketing & Events Intern is responsible for helping to facilitate all aspects of scheduled events and promotional activities. The candidate should have an appreciation for special events management and providing outstanding customer service.

• Preparing agendas, welcome letters, nametags, marketing materisla, gift bags, registration lists, binders, packets, seating cards and other event materials.
• Assist in keeping events email inbox and calendar up to date.
• Receive, track, and respond to attendee requests.
• Assist with managing on-site production, greeting guests, and acting as a host to the guest’s needs
• Data entry
• General administrative support
• Serve as a liaison with vendors on event-related matters for LakePoint-hosted events
• Support special projects as required
• Assume and perform other duties and responsibilities not specifically outlined herein, but which are logically and properly inherent to the position.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Prior experience working with email marketing software is an asset
• Prior experience in scheduling and managing events is an asset
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, while maintaining and following company event protocols and procedures
• Highly professional appearance and demeanor
• Ability to lift 30 lbs
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers in person, through email, and by phone
• Ability to assist during evening and weekend events
