Ocean Mazda Roswell is seeking an experienced, dependable, and customer-focused Automotive Parts Counter Person to join our Parts Department.

The ideal candidate has automotive dealership parts experience, strong knowledge of parts cataloging and inventory processes, and the ability to work efficiently with Service Technicians, Service Advisors, wholesale customers, and retail customers.

.

• Assist Service Technicians and Service Advisors with identifying and obtaining required parts.
• Accurately identify parts using electronic parts catalogs and dealership systems.
• Provide parts availability and pricing information.
• Process parts requests for repair orders accurately and efficiently.
• Pull, stage, and distribute parts to technicians.
• Order parts that are not currently in stock and monitor outstanding orders.
• Process and track special-order parts.
• Notify appropriate personnel when special-order parts arrive.
• Assist retail and wholesale customers with parts inquiries and purchases.
• Prepare accurate parts quotes and invoices.
• Maintain accurate documentation of parts transactions.
• Process parts returns and credits according to established procedures.
• Assist with receiving incoming parts shipments and verifying orders for accuracy.
• Properly stock and organize incoming inventory.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient Parts Department.
• Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and physical inventory.
• Identify inventory discrepancies and report concerns to Parts Management.
• Monitor backorders and communicate delays to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with warranty parts retention, returns, and documentation as required.
• Maintain knowledge of Mazda OEM parts, accessories, and applicable manufacturer programs.
• Help maintain appropriate inventory levels and identify frequently requested parts.
• Work closely with Service, Sales, and other dealership departments to support daily operations.
• Provide professional and courteous service to internal and external customers.
• Protect dealership inventory and follow established parts-control procedures.
• Follow all company policies, manufacturer requirements, and safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Parts Manager.

• Previous automotive parts experience required.
• Franchise dealership parts experience strongly preferred.
• Mazda dealership or Mazda parts experience is a plus.
• CDK experience strongly preferred.
• Experience using electronic parts catalogs and dealership management systems.
• Knowledge of automotive parts, terminology, and basic vehicle systems.
• Ability to accurately identify and order parts.
• Strong computer and data-entry skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong customer-service and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with technicians, advisors, managers, vendors, and customers.
• Ability to manage multiple requests and priorities in a fast-paced dealership environment.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Professional attitude and team-oriented work style.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record preferred.
• Ability to safely lift and move automotive parts and perform the physical requirements of the position.
• Must be able to meet applicable pre-employment requirements.

The successful candidate will be accurate, responsive, organized, and proactive. Strong follow-through is essential, particularly when handling special orders, backorders, technician requests, and customer commitments.
