A. Murren & Sons Company, Inc. is a full-service contractor serving the industrial, civil, and power industries across the southeastern and mid-Atlantic United States. The company performs industrial site development and heavy civil construction work and has operated for more than 40 years.
- Align resources for optimal results across the division
- Generate and maintain correct and timely project information
- Develop a thorough understanding of the contract documents
- Develop the overall project plan and set expectations for the project team
- Create the preliminary project schedule and update progress as required
- Perform project setup, including contract review, cost codes, and budget development
- Catalog and track submittals, RFIs, PCOs, quantities, and equipment
- Perform subcontractor and supplier buyout and approve invoices weekly
- Submit information and questions to the customer for efficient project execution
- Submit timely pay applications while keeping Accounts Receivable current
- Participate in the planning and measurement process
- Supervise, direct, communicate with, and develop the project team
- Maintain customer relationships throughout the project
- 8+ Years of heavy civil construction project management experience
- Proven experience managing federal projects, preferably DOE/DOD projects
- Strong financial acumen and cost control experience
- Proficiency in scheduling and project management systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lead teams in structured, compliance-driven environments
- Valid driver’s license
- U.S. citizenship
- Participation in pre-employment and random drug screening
- Subject to a background screening process
- Nice to have: NQA-1 experience
- Projects are located at various DOE/DOD sites across the Southern United States
- Willingness to travel on a per diem basis
