Overview

Fuel student success—and your own—as you support your assigned student as determined by their individualized education plan (IEP). Realize the joy of possibility as you provide customized behavior support and teach valuable life skills. You will play an essential role as part of a multidisciplinary team in delivering holistic guidance and support.

Responsibilities
  • Ensuring that all students are being educated in accordance with their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Observation of classrooms regularly both formally (using observation forms to provide appropriate staff feedback) and informally
  • Weekly staff meetings to impart information, suggestions, and issues of concern that affect the program and the staff
  • Attending and participating in a monthly Goal Review with Supervisor; demonstrating consistent growth and goal completion
  • Involving parents in the educational program regularly as well as providing regular parent education events throughout the school year
  • Ensuring that all state licensing policies relating to the health, safety, and well-being of the children attending the program are followed and in compliance
  • Performing staff Supervisions including Goal Reviews monthly, giving staff the opportunity for self-evaluation and growth
  • Identifying staff and program needs and obtaining professional development opportunities to address those needs
  • Communicate in person, by telephone, and through newsletters and other forms of written communication with parents, supervisors, and district personnel
  • Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher learning Required
  • Extensive experience with students with behavioral challenges is strongly preferred
  • Commitment to learning and implementing feedback
  • Ability to adapt and remain flexible
Posted Salary Range

USD $60,000.00 - USD $65,000.00 /Yr.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the campus for extended periods to support classrooms, student supervision, transitions, and crisis response as needed.
  • Ability to physically intervene using approved de-escalation and safety protocols when required (e.g., CPI/Handle With Care), consistent with SESI training and policy.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move light to moderate items (up to approximately 30 pounds), including instructional materials, student belongings, or equipment.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, reach, and sit on the floor when supporting students, facilitating small groups, or engaging in restorative or coaching conversations.
  • Ability to maintain visual and auditory awareness of students and campus activity to ensure student safety, supervision, and rapid response in high-need situations.
