Plans, coordinates, and implements educational programs and activities that promote the professional development of clinical staff. Provides leadership and facilitation for developing and maintaining nursing practice standards, policies, and procedures. Serves as a consultant in clinical practice, education, and research.
Qualifications Required Education, Training, and ExperienceNursing degree required; a Master’s degree is preferred. If not Master’s prepared, must be actively pursuing it during employment. Prior experience in Critical Care and/or Emergency Department preferred. Previous staff development/teaching experience required.
Required Licenses and CertificationsLicensed in Georgia as a Registered Nurse. Current BLS and ACLS certifications required. ACLS/BLS Instructor certification and CEN/CCRNs preferred.
Other Required Skills and KnowledgeExcellent clinical skills, knowledge of adult learning principles, computer skills, creativity, organizational and project management skills, attention to detail, self-motivation, and ability to work independently. Strong oral and written communication skills essential for effective communication with hospital staff, patients, physicians, and the public.
