Youth & College Ministry Summer Intern

Term:
Summer of 2026 (Approximately late May - early August, timing is flexible)

Purpose:

To serve Jesus Christ through First Baptist Church by assisting the ministry staff and volunteers in providing leadership to our youth and college ministry students.

• Work with the ministerial staff in planning, organizing, coordinating and leading the activities of the summer youth ministry and college ministry.
• Work to build relationships with students
• Lead regular Bible study opportunities, finding ways for our students to grow in their faith throughout the summer months.
• Participate in regular staff meetings to coordinate efforts and gain awareness of vocational church work.
• Complete necessary administrative office tasks as needed for event preparation, church-wide communication, advertising, etc.
• Engage and participate in other aspects of ministry as fits the calling, giftedness and desires of the candidate
• Maintain personal, spiritual and professional growth.

• A personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Deep love for and understanding of teenagers and college students
• Strong communication, organizational, planning and relational skills.
• Mature, responsible, dependable, teachable, flexible, cooperative and a good listener.
