Job Responsibilities

• Act as a professional teammate, working productively with and respectfully towards colleagues so that all feel valued, supported, and part of the team.
• Maintain a learning‑focused classroom culture based on high expectations, routines, and mutual respect so that all students feel safe to move out of their comfort zone and achieve more.
• Be knowledgeable about the subject taught and the students so that lesson plans address the challenges they face.
• Provide appropriate scaffolding and support such as guided practice and extensive feedback to ensure students of all ability levels gain confidence and progress toward independent proficiency.
• Include opportunities for students to explain, discuss, explore, reflect, and solve problems so that they are highly engaged and encouraged to think critically and creatively.
• Be flexible and responsive to student needs by using formative assessment strategies to check for understanding and adjusting instruction when necessary.
• Accurately measure and report student attainment using collaboratively developed assessments so that students reliably demonstrate mastery of content and skills.
• Seek continual improvement each year by being open to coaching and engaging in professional development opportunities to enhance student outcomes and exemplify lifelong learning.

• Successful teaching experience in any field of study.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience working with one of the following grade levels:
  Pre‑K, Elementary, Middle, or High School.
