Virtual Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) – [Georgia]
Hello Hero delivers related and behavioral health services to students nationwide. Since 2017, we’ve supported over 15,000 students in 28 states.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver deaf and hard of hearing services aligned with IEP goals.
- Support students with hearing impairments in accessing educational instruction and communication.
- Collaborate with school teams, families, interpreters, and related service providers.
- Develop goals and track student progress.
- Complete documentation and progress reports.
- Participate in IEP meetings and team collaboration.
- Services are delivered during standard school hours (typically 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM).
- Scheduling is aligned with student availability.
- Active Georgia Professional Standards Commission Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing license.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in school-based settings (preferred).
- Experience with IEPs and school-based collaboration.
- Comfortable using technology for virtual service delivery, including online platforms and documentation systems.
- Rate: $45–$50 per hour.
- Paid for documentation, IEP meetings and assessments at the same hourly rate.
- Paid for no‑shows and late cancellations.
- Completed sessions include an additional 25% to account for session documentation time.
- 15 minutes extra added to your first session for each new student added to your caseload.
- Paid training ($20 per hour), including HR onboarding, platform training, and school‑specific training.
- Clear expectations – defined workflows and documentation standards.
- Dedicated Service Manager to advocate with schools and provide support.
- Access to assessment tools and resources for evaluation and reporting.
- Peer support via discipline‑specific chat channels.
- Fair compensation for sessions, documentation, and no‑shows.
- Flexibility to work as a Hello Hero employee or independent contractor, with part‑time and full‑time options.
