Earthly Dynamics Corporation (EDC) is a rapidly growing aerospace R&D firm in Roswell, Georgia, pioneering autonomous control technologies for unmanned aircraft and precision airdrop systems. Our multidisciplinary teams tackle challenging problems from sensor integration to flight‑test validation, all in a collaborative, hands‑on environment.

Position Summary

We are seeking a hands‑on Flight Test Engineer to support the planning, coordination, execution, instrumentation, data collection, and analysis of flight tests for a wide range of autonomous unmanned aircraft systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop flight test plans, test cards, procedures, checklists, and safety documentation.
  • Support preparation of test articles, payloads, aircraft systems, ground support equipment, and instrumentation.
  • Configure and operate data acquisition systems, flight computers, GPS/INS systems, telemetry systems, radios, cameras, and other test equipment.
  • Participate in field test operations, including setup, pre‑test checks, launch/release operations, range coordination, real‑time monitoring, recovery, and post‑test inspection.
  • Work with engineers and technicians to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, software, and flight‑control issues before, during, and after testing.
  • Process and analyze flight test data.
  • Compare flight test results with simulation predictions and engineering models.
  • Prepare test reports, plots, briefings, and technical summaries for internal and customer use.
  • Support design reviews, test readiness reviews, and post‑test review meetings.
  • Help improve EDC’s flight test processes, instrumentation methods, data pipelines, and field operations.
  • Travel to test sites as needed to support flight test campaigns.
Required Qualifications
  • B.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
  • 2+ years of hands‑on engineering experience involving flight testing.
  • Strong practical ability to troubleshoot real systems.
  • Experience collecting, processing, and interpreting engineering test data.
  • Ability to write clear test plans, procedures, reports, and technical summaries.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Willingness to travel periodically for flight test events.
Citizenship

Due to ITAR regulations and sponsor requirements, applicants must be U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders.
