Roswell, GA | Full-Time | On-Site | Direct Hire
YER HR Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a rapidly growing defense propulsion manufacturer scaling a new high-volume engine assembly and testing operation in Roswell, Georgia.
The compact turbojet engines you will test support advanced unmanned and precision-defense systems. You will join a small, fast-moving team, work directly with production hardware and play an important role in building a major U.S. propulsion operation.
What You Will Do- Set up, operate and monitor turbojet engine test stands and supporting equipment according to engineering protocols
- Perform functional and performance testing on complete engines and individual components
- Collect test data and verify results against engineering specifications
- Troubleshoot test failures and collaborate directly with engineering on root-cause analysis and corrective action
- Read engineering drawings, specifications, schematics and technical manuals
- Maintain and calibrate test instrumentation to support accuracy, reliability and safety
- Record test results, observations and data in digital records and technical reports
- Support engine teardown and post-test inspection
- Help improve test procedures, safety protocols and test-cycle efficiency
- Follow all applicable ITAR and AS9100 compliance requirements
- At least three years of hands-on experience in engine testing, engine maintenance or engine overhaul within aerospace, defense, automotive performance or heavy mechanical systems
- Strong mechanical aptitude and confidence working around high-speed rotating equipment
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints and technical specifications
- Working proficiency with pressure gauges, flow meters, thermocouples and data-acquisition systems
- An associate degree or technical training in aerospace, mechanical engineering technology, electronics or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
- U.S. citizenship, which is required for this position
- Ability to work on-site in Roswell, Georgia
Military propulsion and engine-test backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply, including:
- U.S. Air Force 2A6X1 Aerospace Propulsion
- Equivalent military engine maintenance, overhaul or test experience
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate
- Experience with instrumentation systems or test-automation tools
- Working knowledge of ISO 17025, AS9100 or similar test-laboratory standards
- Manufacturing and engine-test environment with high noise levels
- Required use of personal protective equipment
- Regular standing, walking and hands-on mechanical work
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Up to 10% international travel during the first year
- Valid passport or willingness to obtain one
