As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Director / Head of Finance to oversee our financial operations and support strategic financial planning.

The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the financial health of the organization, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and optimizing financial processes. The ideal candidate will have a background in insurance accounting, proficiency in Quick Books, and experience in financial management and reporting.
Responsibilities:
Oversee financial functions, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.Assist in developing and implementing financial strategies to support business growth and profitability.Monitor financial risk, including insurance claims reserves and regulatory compliance.Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP.Utilize Quick Books to manage accounting records and streamline financial processes.Collaborate with leadership to set financial goals and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).Support financial planning and analysis (FP&A) to drive data-driven decision-making.Oversee cash flow management and cost controls.Ensure compliance with state and federal insurance regulations and financial reporting standards.Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and banks.Supervise and mentor finance and accounting staff as needed.Oversee vendor payables, ensuring timely and accurate payments.Manage accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) to maintain cash flow efficiency.Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred but not required).3+ years of experience in financial management, preferably within the insurance or trucking industry.Strong knowledge of Quick Books and other accounting software.Experience in insurance accounting, including premium accounting and claims reserves management.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.Knowledge of financial regulations, insurance compliance, and risk management.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.Seniority level
