Tax Affairs Manager

This position is crucial for managing our client's tax affairs, ensuring compliance, and optimizing tax positions. You will handle tax filing, reporting, and strategic planning, collaborating with external experts to support the client's financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Calculate tax liabilities and prepare tax forms for accurate filing and reporting.
• Record and maintain tax transactions, journals, capital expenditures, and depreciation schedules.
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of all tax returns, declarations, and required reports.
• Monitor and maintain compliance with current tax regulations.
• Research and assess the impact of tax factors on the company's liabilities.
• Identify tax optimization opportunities and recommend improvement strategies.
• Analyze tax implications of major transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and asset disposals.
• Work with external consultants and agencies to resolve complex tax issues.
• Stay current on tax legislation changes and partner with experts to maintain effective tax practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1-5 years of relevant experience.
• CPA or EA certification preferred.
