Position: Commercial Associate - Middle Market (Heart of Texas Market - Houston)

Overview

Deliver analytical research and data‑driven insights to support commercial banking client and prospect needs in partnership with banking and product teams.

Responsibilities
  • Develop economic and market insights, industry analysis, pitchbooks, and relationship reviews that inform strategy.
  • Support preparation of client presentations and client deals.
  • Observe and support credit approval and treasury solutions processes to build knowledge of products, services, and packaging requirements.
  • Coordinate clients/prospects and partners from product and deal teams throughout the course of a transaction.
  • Deliver new business analytics, monitor client activities, and perform portfolio optimization to identify and expand client relationships while maintaining and enhancing business opportunities.
  • Understand and interpret financial and cash‑flow statements to assess and analyze financial conditions of companies and industry trends.
  • Facilitate client relationships with product specialists in credit, treasury management, and merchant services to design and deliver financial solutions.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of two years of professional or business experience.
  • Analytical thinking and financial modeling skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Understanding and interpreting corporate financial statements.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous internship or entry‑level role in financial services.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.

Location & Hours

Office location:
Houston, with occasional travel to Austin, Dallas, Denver, and San Antonio.

Shift: 1st shift (United States), 40 hours per week.
