PositionSummary
The UX Designer is responsible for leading design initiatives, setting creative direction, and delivering high‑quality design solutions across multiple customer and associate applications (e.g. Point‑of‑Sale, Mobile app, Ecommerce website, Associate applications). This role requires a blend of high‑level design thinking, functional and visual design expertise, and experience with advanced Figma architecture. This role will partner closely with our digital, business enablement and engineering teams to optimize the customer journey from arrival to conversion, ensuring our solutions are scalable, efficient, and user centric.
DutiesAnd Responsibilities
- Develop and communicate design strategies and vision.
- Optimize high‑traffic application flows to remove friction and increase conversion.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high‑fidelity visuals.
- Utilize Figma best practices:
Build “Dev Mode” ready files using advanced Figma features (variables, conditional logic, auto layout). - Work closely with the digital, business enablement and engineering teams to ship high‑value experiences, while actively syncing with the team to share feedback, maintain consistency, and ensure a unified design language across all products.
- Drive end‑to‑end design process – emphasizing, defining, ideating, and prototyping – to find solutions that are desirable for the customer and feasible for the business.
- Leverage the influence to champion user‑centric outcomes within and across product experiences.
- Set a high standard for design craft – ensuring accessibility, usability, clear information architecture, thoughtful interaction design, and polished visual execution.
- Ensure consistency and quality across all design outputs.
- Bachelor’s degree in design, Fine Arts, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years of experience in UX/Product design, preferably within retail or similar environments.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in UX/product design.
- Ability to blend qualitative insight (user research, workflow mapping) with quantitative rigor (experiments, data analysis).
- Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
- Advanced experience with Figma architecture – using logic and structure to make your files efficient and maintainable.
- Strong execution mindset, able to navigate ambiguity and deliver results.
- Familiar with design systems and accessibility standards.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical details to both technical and non‑technical business stakeholders.
- Comfortable exploring and using emerging AI‑powered tools to support the design process, with curiosity around its evolving role in UX practice.
- Experience with design of Web and Mobile applications.
- Experience in retail, e‑commerce or a related industry.
Physical Requirements
- This role is based in our vibrant, collaborative office five days a week, with flexibility to accommodate family and life commitments when needed. Flexibility to work extended and varied hours as needed.
- Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time as the job is completed primarily at a desk each day. Variable desk heights are offered so alternatively sitting and/or standing at the desk is optional.
- Up to 10% of travel is required based on business needs.
