IT Business Analyst, Data Analyst
Job Summary
Lead and develop strategy for supply chain systems and processes and for identifying, qualifying, and selecting vendors that provide these services. Assist in developing negotiation strategies, manage relationships, and ensure customer requirements are met and that projects progress as scheduled. This role requires 50%+ travel.
Preferred Qualifications- Expertise in supply chain operations, including distribution centers, inventory management, and transportation.
- Proven experience leading multi-site technology, systems, and process implementations.
- Strong change management, training, user adoption, and operational readiness capabilities.
- Ability to partner effectively across Operations, IT, Product, Engineering, Training, and Analytics teams.
- Experience developing playbooks, SOPs, governance frameworks, and implementation strategies.
- Strong analytical skills with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, and data-driven decision making.
- Demonstrated success leading remote teams and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience supporting pilots, rollouts, hypercare, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Jira, Confluence, Microsoft 365
- SAP WM/EWM, SAP TMS, Descartes
- Power BI, Tableau, SQL, and other data analytics tools.
- Lean, Six Sigma, APICS (CPIM/CSCP), PMP, or similar credentials.
- Develop and support policies and procedures.
- Evaluate and recommend improved techniques for control of operations, quality, reliability and safety.
- Develop and support strategies for negotiation with vendors.
- Develop and support strategies for identifying, selecting, quantifying, and maintaining vendor relationships.
- Leverage economies of scale to best meet the supply chain needs of the company in terms of cost, quality and vendor ability.
- Monitor and report compliance to procedure, vendor contracts and strategy.
- Analyze complex data to identify and validate sourcing opportunities.
- Monitor the effectiveness of internal controls of all inventories throughout the organization through observation, review and testing.
- Analyze pertinent data and report on all deficiencies with recommendations to improve.
- Effectively communicate recommendations to other areas within Supply Chain and external departments.
- Provide solutions that require analysis and investigation.
- Achieve planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience.
- Manage a group or team of professional individual contributors and/or indirectly supervise support staff.
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Most time is spent sitting. Occasional light lifting may be required. Overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Education and ExperienceRequires a BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. An advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.
