Job Summary
The Production Operator I is a dependable self‑starter who oversees the operation of processing equipment and processes in the production of coatings products. Responsibilities include operating batch processing equipment, performing routine tests, charting and determining when a process is complete, and ensuring high quality and safety.
Essential Duties- Maintain accurate production records
- Material handling
- Print labels
- Label buckets
- Operate forklift
- Operate palletizer
- Required: High school diploma or GED; 0‑2 years related manufacturing experience; general knowledge, skills and abilities in communication; willingness to be actively involved in day‑to‑day plant activities; familiarity with safety activities.
- Preferred: Production operations/manufacturing experience; paint/coating batch processing experience.
- Stationary position frequently, often moving or traversing, occasional stationary seated; frequent transport, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, ascending or descending, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling and grasping;
- Frequent communication (speaking and hearing); frequent repetitive motions, coordination, climbing; working conditions with extreme cold or heat, humidity, wetness, noise, hazards, temperature changes, vibration, and atmospheric conditions.
Work environment includes extreme cold or heat, humidity, wet conditions, noise, hazards, temperature changes, vibration, and varying atmospheric conditions.
Compensation- Base hourly rate: $25.00, exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses.
