Position Overview

Masterack is seeking a detail-oriented Set-Up & Run Operator to safely set up, operate, and monitor production equipment used to manufacture high-quality metal components. This role is responsible for producing parts that meet quality, productivity, and safety standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate manufacturing equipment according to production schedules and work instructions.
  • Operate equipment including press brakes, punch presses, CNC machinery, riveters, wire benders, wire straighteners, and other fabrication equipment.
  • Retrieve work orders and production routers to determine tooling, material, and setup requirements.
  • Verify first-piece quality and perform routine quality inspections throughout production.
  • Read blueprints, work instructions, and manufacturing specifications.
  • Use measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy.
  • Complete required production, inspection, and quality documentation accurately.
  • Identify quality concerns and notify supervisors of machine or tooling issues.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area following 5S standards.
  • Assist with material handling as needed.
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1–3 years of manufacturing or machine operator experience.
  • Experience operating fabrication or CNC equipment preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints and work instructions.
  • Basic math and measurement skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
  • Forklift experience preferred or ability to become certified.

Physical Requirements
  • Frequently stand and walk during the shift.
