Production QC/QA, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic

- Conduct regular visual inspections and audits along continuous production lines for web uniformity, defects, roll winding, and edge alignment.
- Repairs defects from fabric such as slubs or loose ends using steel pick, scissors, or burling iron. Cut non-repairable defects from fabric, using scissors.
- Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing re-work and waste, and inputting data into quality database.
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
This job operates in a plant environment. The candidate is frequently exposed to noise, dust and moving mechanical parts.
Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this) and the employee is regularly required to talk, sit, walk, stand (for extended periods of time), and hear. The employee will be required to reach with hands and arms, push, pull and/or lift, climb or balance, kneel and frequently lift to 50 lbs. Repetitive hand actions, including grasping and fine manipulations, is an essential part of the job’s physical demands.
The employee must have 20/20 vision or corrected 20/20 vision.
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.Weekend and overtime work may be required as job duties demand.

RequiredEducation and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED.
