Systems Engineer
Job Description
- Lead and support a team of BAS/Controls technicians, installers, and subcontractors across multiple active projects.
- Coordinate manpower, schedules, and resources to ensure projects stay on track and within budget.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for controls installation, startup, commissioning, integration, and troubleshooting issues.
- Partner with Project Managers to review project status, labor forecasts, change orders, financial performance, and risk mitigation plans.
- Attend jobsite meetings with customers, contractors, consultants, and internal teams to resolve issues and drive project execution.
- Review controls drawings, network architecture, sequences of operation, and commissioning plans to ensure technical accuracy and quality.
- Monitor project progress, safety compliance, documentation, closeout activities, and customer satisfaction metrics.
- Coach, mentor, and develop field technicians through training, performance management, and career development planning.
- Support hiring efforts, workforce planning, and capacity management to ensure the team is properly staffed.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships while identifying opportunities for additional project or service work.
- 5+ years of Building Automation Systems (BAS/DDC) experience
- Control sequences

- Building networks and controller architecture
- Experience supporting project financials, labor forecasting, and change orders
- Control drawings
- Point lists

- Experience coordinating with project managers, contractors, consultants, and customers
- Customer-facing leadership experience
- Ability to handle escalations and project recovery efforts
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
