Schedule Requirements

Position OverviewAs a Non-Certified or Certified Nurse Aide, you will be providing direct care to our residents, assisting with the numerous activities of daily living while encouraging and guiding them to maintain or reach the highest level of function.
Essential Functions- Lifting, turning, positioning, transporting residents.
- Bathing, dressing, oral hygiene, and grooming.
- Responding to call lights in a timely and professional manner.
- Providing restorative care, including range of motion, ambulation, and bowel and bladder training.
- Maintaining cleanliness of residents’ rooms, including daily cleaning, deep cleaning as required, and discharge cleaning.
- Engaging residents in activities of interest to them and providing restorative nursing programs to maintain ADLs.
- Communicating professionally and effectively, verbally and in writing, and following written and verbal directions.
- Providing exemplary customer service to residents, peers, families, managers, and visitors.
- Reporting any changes in physical or mental conditions promptly.
- Assisting nurses with tasks such as measuring and recording vitals, gathering weights and other documentation, making beds, cleaning closets, ensuring cleanliness of resident living areas, assisting with new admissions, and training new staff.
- Adhering to resident rights documentation, maintaining confidentiality, and reporting complaints to charge nurse or supervisory staff.
- Documenting resident information accurately and confidentially in the electronic medical record system.
- Adhering to safety and compliance policies, demonstrating proper use of equipment, reporting equipment needs or repairs, practicing universal precautions, and using protective equipment.
- Performing food service functions, including preparing residents for meals, serving food, assisting with eating, after–meal care, passing snacks and fresh water/ice, recording intake, noting changes of eating habits, and reporting appropriately.
Education: High school diploma or GED preferred or currently enrolled in a program to achieve preferred education.
Experience: At least two (2) years of experience caring for older adults in a senior living facility is preferred.
Skills: Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and World Wide Web.
Communication: Good communication, comprehension, and interpersonal skills; ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
Licensure: N/A.
