RN - PreOp Surgery

Role

Registered Nurse (RN) in Perioperative Services - Pre Op, focusing on general surgery.

• Provide individualized, high-quality, safe patient care by performing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, based on evidence-based practice.
• Partner with patients and families, ensuring effective communication, education, and patient-centered care that respects cultural diversity.
• Coordinate and document safe clinical care, promote teamwork through interdisciplinary collaboration, and support performance improvement initiatives.
• Participate in professional development, serve as a preceptor or mentor, and uphold standards aligned with legal, regulatory, and organizational policies.
• Advance evidence-based practice, contribute to research activities, and support resource management for optimal patient outcomes.

• Diploma or BSN from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of direct patient care nursing experience.
• Licensure as a Registered Nurse (Single State or Multi-state Compact).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with BLS Instructor preferred.
