RN – Acute Care – Orthopedic Surgery – Part-Time Night Shift

Role Overview:

The RN Clinical Nurse in this role provides high-quality, safe, and individualized patient care within an interdisciplinary team, focusing on acute care for orthopedic surgery patients. They practice in a clinical environment guided by evidence-based standards, professional models, and organizational policies, ensuring adherence to the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and ANA Code of Ethics.

• Perform the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using critical thinking and evidence-based practice.
• Deliver patient-centered care tailored to diverse populations, fostering partnerships with patients and families through effective communication and education.
• Coordinate and document safe, quality care through interdisciplinary collaboration, promoting respectful and inclusive clinical environments.
• Support performance improvement, participate in research, and uphold safety standards, including accreditation requirements.
• Serve as a preceptor or mentor to promote workforce development and professional growth.
• Engage in resource planning, protocol development, and efficient resource utilization to optimize patient outcomes.

• Minimum of 5 years of RN experience, with direct patient care preferred.
• Associate’s or Diploma in Nursing required;
  Bachelor’s preferred.
• Valid RN license (single-state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments, demonstrate critical thinking, and utilize technology effectively.
