Registered Nurse – Acute Care – Orthopedic Surgery – PRN

Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse provides high-quality, safe, patient-centered care within an interdisciplinary team, ensuring individualized treatment based on evidence-based practices. They practice in environments supported by Nurse Managers and adhere to the Wellstar Professional Practice Model, Scope of Practice, and ANA Code of Ethics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Deliver relationship-based, culturally competent care tailored to patient populations.
• Partner with patients and families through effective communication, education, and shared decision-making.
• Ensure documentation, promote teamwork, and foster a respectful, inclusive environment.
• Participate in performance improvement, research, and evidence-based practice initiatives.
• Support resource management and develop protocols to improve care quality and reduce readmissions.
• Serve as preceptor or mentor, modeling professional nursing standards to develop future staff.
• Maintain compliance with organizational policies, legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Associates or Bachelor of Nursing (preferred).
• Current RN license (single or multi-state), BLS certification required at hire.
• Experience in direct patient care preferred.
• Strong communication, clinical, critical thinking, and time management skills.
• Ability to use technology effectively and respond calmly to emergencies.
