RN – Acute Care – Orthopedic Surgery – Night Shift

The Registered Nurse (RN) in this acute care position specializes in orthopedic surgical care, providing high-quality, individualized, and safe patient care within a collaborative, interdisciplinary team. The role involves practicing evidence-based nursing, coordinating care, and advocating for patient needs, families, and significant others. The RN supports performance improvement, mentorship, and professional development, ensuring adherence to legal, regulatory, and organizational standards.

• Performing comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation using the nursing process.
• Delivering patient-centered care tailored to diverse populations and cultural backgrounds.
• Partnering with patients and families through effective communication, education, and goal setting.
• Ensuring safe, quality care through proper documentation and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Participating in performance improvement initiatives, evidence-based practice, and research activities.
• Supporting resource management, protocol development, and system efficiency.
• Mentoring and serving as a preceptor to promote a qualified, future-ready nursing workforce.
• Maintaining compliance with all policies, standards, and safety protocols.

• Associates or Bachelor of Nursing degree (Bachelor preferred).
• Current RN licensure (single-state or multi-state compact).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
• Less than one year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates eligible.
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, communication, teamwork, and a commitment to evidence-based practice.
