Part-Time RN – Acute Care – Orthopedic Surgery

The Registered Nurse (RN) in this role provides high-quality, individualized patient care within an interdisciplinary team in an acute care setting, focusing on orthopedic surgery. They practice according to state, professional, and organizational standards, ensuring safety, evidence-based care, and cultural competence.

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care using evidence-based practices.
• Deliver patient-centered, relationship-based care tailored to diverse populations, involving patients and families in care planning.
• Ensure effective interdisciplinary communication, documentation, and collaboration to promote safe, high-quality outcomes.
• Support performance improvement initiatives, participate in research and evidence-based practice, and uphold organizational policies and standards.
• Act as a mentor or preceptor to foster professional development and maintain a qualified workforce.
• Contribute to protocol development, resource management, and quality improvement efforts.

• Minimum of 5 years of RN experience, preferably with direct patient care in acute settings.
• Current RN license (single state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification required.
• Associates or Diploma in Nursing required;
  Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, time management, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt in fast-paced environments and respond decisively to emergencies.
