TRC Talent Solutions is partnering with a leading aviation manufacturer in the Roswell area to identify a hands-on Quality Inspection Supervisor. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing aerospace organization where quality, compliance, and production excellence are mission critical.
SummaryThe Quality Inspection Supervisor leads daily receiving, in-process, and final inspection activities within a fast-paced manufacturing startup environment. This role blends hands‑on inspection work with team leadership, ensuring compliance with customer specifications, regulatory standards, and internal quality systems while supporting production flow and delivery commitments.
Responsibilities- Oversee receiving, in-process, and final inspections to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and specifications
- Prioritize inspection activities to align with production schedules and delivery timelines
- Review and approve inspection results and disposition decisions
- Partner cross-functionally with production, engineering, and supply chain to resolve quality issues
- Perform dimensional, visual, and functional inspections using precision measurement tools
- Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102 requirements
- Verify material certifications and supplier documentation
- Support containment and investigation of nonconforming products
- Lead, train, and mentor inspection personnel
- Assign daily workloads and monitor team performance
- Promote cross-training and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality systems
- Maintain inspection documentation, traceability, and records
- Support internal and external quality audits
- Improve inspection procedures and documentation controls
- Identify defect reduction and process efficiency opportunities
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities (5 Whys, Fishbone)
- Support Lean manufacturing initiatives
- 5+ years of manufacturing quality inspection experience
- 2+ years in a lead or supervisory capacity preferred
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge
- Experience working within ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality systems
- Familiarity with AS9102 First Article Inspection processes
- Proficiency with precision measurement equipment
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or other regulated manufacturing environments
- Experience using digital quality systems or ERP platforms
- High school diploma required; technical or associate degree preferred
- U.S. Citizenship required due to defense contract regulations
