the director, sales learning and enablement is a leadership role focused on enhancing sales team performance through strategic training and enablement programs. The director will ensure the sales organization has the knowledge, tools, and processes to succeed. This role involves assessing skills, developing training programs and materials, and assisting the team with the adoption of sales enablement technologies to drive revenue growth.
travel: the position will require travel nationwide and canada up to 25% of the time.
what you’ll do- develop and deliver best‑in‑class training in sales effectiveness and leadership, as well as ongoing sales enablement programs, ensuring alignment with business goals
- build and lead a high‑performing team to design, implement, and scale training programs that address both immediate needs and long‑term growth, leveraging innovative training methods and data‑driven insights to continually enhance the impact of sales training across the organization
- build strong relationships with sales leaders to ensure alignment with strategic goals and sales performance
- influence decision‑making by providing training recommendations that support growth and development across multiple sales teams
- ensure alignment of sales training programs to specific needs while leveraging best practices for efficiency and scalability
- develop and lead the sales training team, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and maximizing the impact of training programs
- integrate modern training methodologies, including live, virtual, hybrid, and lms‑based delivery models to meet the needs of the sales team
- drive engagement and learning retention through creative, innovative training approaches
- leverage data and analytics to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and continuously improve outcomes
- oversee the sales training department budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources
- leverage data insights to continuously evolve training, delivery methods and timing to improve sales performance
- ensure training programs evolve in line with new sales methodologies, tools, and market dynamics
- support ongoing development of sales leaders, helping them reinforce training in real‑world settings
- create and present regular reports to senior leadership, highlighting the roi of training programs and how they contribute to business outcomes
- provide clear insights into how training has impacted sales productivity, employee retention and overall team performance
- foster a culture of continuous learning, encouraging the sales team to seek feedback and improve their performance regularly
- bachelor's degree in business, sales, or marketing or equivalent training in business or sales management preferred
- proven success in designing and executing large‑scale training programs for sales teams at all levels
