Our client is a global technology leader specializing in advanced control solutions for refrigeration, HVAC, and energy‑efficiency applications. With a strong international presence and a reputation for innovation, the company develops cutting‑edge technologies that help customers optimize system performance, reduce energy consumption, and meet increasingly demanding sustainability requirements.

As part of its continued growth in North America, our client is seeking an entrepreneurial and commercially driven Sales Manager to lead the development and expansion of its Refrigeration business across the southeastern United States.

This role combines strategic business development, key account management, and technical sales responsibilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, strengthening relationships with existing customers, and positioning our client's advanced refrigeration technologies and solutions with OEMs, contractors, distributors, consultants, and end users throughout the region.

The Sales Manager will play a critical role in driving regional growth by developing and executing sales strategies, building a robust pipeline of opportunities, and increasing market penetration. The position requires a strong understanding of commercial and industrial refrigeration applications, controls, monitoring systems, and related technologies, as well as the ability to communicate complex technical solutions in a clear and compelling manner.

Key

responsibilities
  • Developing and executing the regional sales strategy to drive revenue growth and expand market share.
  • Identifying, engaging, and building long‑term relationships with OEMs, contractors, consultants, distributors, and end users.
  • Managing the full sales cycle, from prospecting and solution development through quotation, negotiation, and project execution.
  • Delivering technical presentations and product demonstrations tailored to customer needs.
  • Collaborating closely with Engineering, R&D, Software Development, Operations, and Customer Service teams to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to identify new growth opportunities.
  • Maintaining an active and disciplined new business pipeline while continuously expanding the company’s presence within the territory.
  • Managing forecasting activities, CRM updates, business reviews, customer visits, and sales reporting.
  • Representing the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking activities to increase market visibility and strengthen industry relationships.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Degree and/or technical certification in HVAC, Refrigeration, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience within the refrigeration industry.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence customers, management teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Proven problem‑solving abilities, capable of analyzing complex situations, identifying solutions, and making sound business decisions.
  • Ability to interpret and work with technical documentation, specifications, operational sequences, drawings, and schedules.
  • Self‑motivated and able to operate effectively in a dynamic environment with limited standardization.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% throughout the assigned territory.
  • Typical office and remote‑working environment, with regular customer visits and business travel.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the role, with reasonable accommodations where applicable.
Preferred Experience
  • Commercial and industrial refrigeration systems.
  • HVAC/R controls, electronic controls, and monitoring systems.
  • Technical solution selling and business development within industrial or refrigeration markets.
