Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:45 p.m.

Salary Range: $32,400 – $38,900

• Assist skilled trades workers in maintenance and renovation tasks such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry.
• Perform semi‑skilled tasks: clean work areas, sweep, collect trash, assist in demolition, move supplies and equipment.
• Perform minor operation, maintenance, installation and repair of HVAC, heating equipment and plumbing.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and systems assigned to HVAC and heating.
• Transport raw materials and supplies between departments or buildings.
• Perform minor welding repairs and operate power tools.
• Do light carpentry work such as building bookshelves, bookcases.
• Mix and pour concrete for foundations and fixtures.
• Install, repair and service motors, pumps and fans.
• Operate heavy machinery such as forklifts and tractors.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Technical or vocational degree in plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, or electrical trade area; or a high school diploma or GED with one year experience in these areas.
• A valid Georgia driver’s license.

Preferred Hiring

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of tools and equipment used in HVAC and heating.
• Knowledge of basic principles and practices of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry or related trades.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform strenuous manual tasks.
• Skill in operating hand tools and equipment used in HVAC, heating and plumbing such as jacks, meters and wrenches.
