Skilled Trades Worker )
Location: Perimeter Campus, Zone 06
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:45 p.m.
Salary Range: $32,400 – $38,900

- Assist skilled trades workers in maintenance and renovation tasks such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry.
- Perform semi‑skilled tasks: clean work areas, sweep, collect trash, assist in demolition, move supplies and equipment.
- Perform minor operation, maintenance, installation and repair of HVAC, heating equipment and plumbing.
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and systems assigned to HVAC and heating.
- Transport raw materials and supplies between departments or buildings.
- Perform minor welding repairs and operate power tools.
- Do light carpentry work such as building bookshelves, bookcases.
- Mix and pour concrete for foundations and fixtures.
- Install, repair and service motors, pumps and fans.
- Operate heavy machinery such as forklifts and tractors.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Technical or vocational degree in plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, or electrical trade area; or a high school diploma or GED with one year experience in these areas.
- A valid Georgia driver’s license.
Preferred Hiring
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of tools and equipment used in HVAC and heating.
- Knowledge of basic principles and practices of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry or related trades.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform strenuous manual tasks.
- Skill in operating hand tools and equipment used in HVAC, heating and plumbing such as jacks, meters and wrenches.
