Immediate opening for a Fire Watch/Welder’s Helper to assist certified welders.
What You Will Be Doing- Assist certified welders with daily welding tasks
- Provide firewatch duties for welders
- Receive training and learn to extinguish fires as needed
- Travel throughout the U.S. on 3‑ to 4‑week deployment cycles
- Learn and apply safety policies and equipment for welding duties
- Obtain authorization to operate scissor lifts
- Work closely with welders to ensure work performance meets expectations
- Ability to work overtime
- Willingness to travel 100% of the time (required)
- Work location:
on the road - English proficiency (required)
- Driver’s license (required)
- National background check
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Pass a pre‑employment drug screening
- Maintain a clean driving record and valid driver’s license to operate company vehicles
- Availability to work after hours
- Willingness to travel frequently throughout the U.S.
This is an hourly non‑exempt role with a starting pay range of $18 per hour. Pay may vary based on geography, market, skill level, education, experience, and other qualifications. Overtime is eligible for hours over 40 per week or as required by state law.
