This position is responsible for maintenance and repairs related to the meter services/repair group. Employees in this group generally work independently performing water meter related maintenance and repairs. Employees interact face to face with customers assisting in troubleshooting and resolving issues.
Responsibilities- Perform preventive maintenance; inspecting equipment and materials for proper installation and potential problems or hazards
- Replace, install and test residential and commercial meters
- Utilize specialized equipment and computers to analyze data and enter field work orders.
- Assist customers with on-site questions and concerns regarding utility services
- Complete forms and report detailed activities and findings
- Maintain and stock assigned service truck with necessary equipment and materials used to complete tasks.
- Work in confined spaces; also involves squatting, kneeling, lifting and excavating with shovels and other hand tools.
- Perform other duties of a similar nature or level
Job Requirements / Information
- This job is a safety sensitive position that will require a pre-employment drug test and subsequent random drug and alcohol testing.
- This job may require on-call rotation and emergency after hours, weekends, and/or holidays.
Salary will be dependent on education and experience.
Effective 4/11/2023, this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program.
Minimum QualificationsWR Trades Associate I – A123
$38,098.00 – $59,052.00 Annually
- High School Diploma, or G.E.D.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
- Valid Driver’s License from state of residency.
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – to be obtained within 12 months of employment.
WR Trades Associate II – B213
$44,968.00 – $71,948.00 Annually
- High School Diploma, or G.E.D. AND
- Two years of related work experience
- An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
- Valid Driver’s License from state of residency.
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – to be obtained within 12 months of employment.
WR Trades Associate III – B233
$53,286.00 – $85,258.00 Annually
- High School Diploma, or G.E.D. AND
- Four years of related work experience
- An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
- Valid Driver’s License from state of residency.
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – to be obtained within 12 months of employment.
