Position SummaryWe are seeking experienced and dependable Traveling Commercial Carpenters to work on commercial construction projects throughout the Southern United States.
The ideal candidate will have experience working on commercial construction, tenant improvements, renovations, build-outs, and remodeling projects and be comfortable working from blueprints, construction drawings, and project specifications.
This is a project-based traveling position . Pay is determined on a per-job/project basis , with compensation discussed before each assignment. For qualifying out-of-town projects, the company will provide per diem and company-paid lodging/room and board .

Key Responsibilities
- Perform commercial carpentry according to project plans and specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, architectural drawings, and construction documents.
- Perform commercial framing, including wood and metal framing as required.
- Install doors, frames, hardware, cabinetry, millwork, trim, and other architectural components.
- Perform drywall backing, blocking, and other carpentry-related installations.
- Complete finish carpentry and detailed interior work.
- Assist with commercial tenant improvements and interior build-outs.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install materials accurately.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
- Coordinate work with contractors, subcontractors, project managers, and other trades.
- Maintain productivity and meet established project deadlines.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with project specifications.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site.
- Follow OSHA and project-specific safety requirements.
- Report material shortages, project issues, delays, or safety concerns to the supervisor.
- Travel to various commercial job sites as projects are assigned.
- 3+ years of commercial carpentry experience preferred.
- Experience with commercial construction and tenant improvement projects.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
- Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods and materials.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Ability to measure cuts accurately, install, and finish materials.
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a construction team.
- Reliable and professional work ethic.
- Valid driver's license preferred/required depending on project requirements.
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout the Southern United States.
- Ability to work extended project assignments away from home.

Pay is based on each commercial job/project.
