Role OverviewIf you are a skilled craftsman who loves working with your hands but dislikes the administrative headaches of running a business, this role is built for you. We are seeking a multi-skilled, part-time Craftsman to help local homeowners and small businesses with a variety of home improvement, maintenance, and repair tasks.
This is a secure W2 position that offers the independence of field-based work without the hassle of chasing down leads, managing bookings, or worrying about unpaid invoices. You will work directly from your home, traveling to pre-scheduled jobs in Woodstock, Roswell, Alpharetta, Sandy Springs, and Marietta. We handle all the marketing, scheduling, and billing so you can focus entirely on your craft and delivering excellent customer service.
WhatSuccess Looks Like
On a day-to-day basis, you will arrive at scheduled appointments on time, assess the customer's needs, and complete repair or improvement tasks efficiently. You will represent our brand through clear, respectful communication and clean, professional work.
Over time, success in this role means building trust with our local clients, maintaining a high standard of workmanship, and working collaboratively with our office dispatch team to ensure projects run smoothly. You will be the face of our service, leaving customers confident in their home repairs and eager to work with us again.
Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will handle a diverse range of small to medium home repairs and improvements, including:
- Drywall repairs, patching, and minor painting.
- Light carpentry, such as repairing trim, molding, doors, and cabinets.
- Basic plumbing and electrical tasks, including replacing a faucet or installing a light fixture or ceiling fan.
- General maintenance, deck repairs, and minor exterior work.
- Evaluating jobs on-site, communicating clearly with customers about the scope of work, and cleaning up thoroughly after job completion.
To be successful in this role, you must have the following qualifications:
- A diverse skill set in home maintenance, repair, and light carpentry.
- Your own standard set of hand and power tools fit for daily jobs.
- A reliable, presentable vehicle (such as a truck or van) to transport tools and materials to job sites.
- A valid driver's license and active auto insurance.
- Strong communication skills and a professional, customer-focused attitude.
- The ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
These qualifications are a plus, but not required to apply:
- Prior experience running your own handyman business or working in residential remodeling.
- Specialized knowledge in a specific trade, such as advanced tiling, deck building, or custom carpentry.
