Career Systems Development Corporation seeks an Accountant to support Job Corps and education programs by managing daily accounting, budget tracking, and reporting. In this mission-driven role, you will prepare and reconcile financial statements, monitor expenditures, and ensure compliance with GAAP and contract requirements. The Accountant collaborates with program and operations teams to support student-centered decisions, assists with audits and month-end close, and maintains accurate records for grants and workforce development initiatives in a structured, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, examine, and reconcile general ledger entries and financial statements for program operations
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, organizational policies, and contract/grant requirements for Job Corps programs
  • Monitor budgets, track expenditures, and support variance analysis for center and program leadership
  • Process invoices, purchase orders, and reimbursements while maintaining accurate documentation
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations
  • Support audits by preparing schedules, reports, and supporting documentation
  • Analyze financial data to provide insights that support student-centered, mission-driven decision making
  • Collaborate with program, HR, and operations staff to resolve accounting issues and improve processes
  • Maintain accurate records for grants and restricted funds in educational and workforce development programs
  • Use accounting software and Excel to generate reports and dashboards for management
