Special Education Teacher
Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher and Case Manager supporting 6th through 8th grade students. In this full-time contract position, youll work Monday through Thursday from 7:45 am to 4:15 pm, focusing on a manageable caseload of approximately 12 students. This opportunity allows you to cultivate a supportive classroom, foster individual growth, and help students reach their fullest potential.
Qualifications and
Preferred Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience serving middle school students, ideally in a school or district environment
- Strong case management skills, including IEP development and progress monitoring
- Ability to create and adapt differentiated lesson plans for diverse learners
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, staff, and related service providers
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive atmosphere for students with varied needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals for 6th to 8th grade students
- Develop, monitor, and update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Coordinate and facilitate IEP meetings with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Provide academic and behavioral support, assessing and addressing student progress
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Collaborate actively with general education teachers to ensure student inclusion and success
- Serve as a reliable resource for families and staff regarding special education practices
