Project Engineer II
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer II to supervise and coordinate engineering activities across all disciplines for complex DOE-related projects. The role involves planning, directing, interpreting, and executing engineering assignments while ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a highly technical environment supporting critical national research and development programs.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise multidisciplinary engineering activity for assigned project scope
- Plan, organize, and direct engineering assignments
- Interpret technical requirements and ensure delivery accuracy
- Coordinate engineering deliverables across project functions
- Work closely with construction, field engineering, and project managers
- Support startup, field engineering, and operations as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
- 10–15 years of progressive engineering experience
- DOE (Department of Energy) experience — Required
- Construction / Project Engineering experience — Required
- EVMS (Earned Value Management System) experience — Strongly preferred
- Experience in design engineering, field engineering, or industrial plant operations
