Salary: $20 - $25 per hour

Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage all financial records, logs, spreadsheets, and registers ensuring the highest level of accuracy.
  • Oversee and manage the general ledger.
  • Prepare and process invoices and receipts, ensuring timely and accurate billing.
  • Conduct regular reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy.
  • Manage the processing of cash receipts and deposits.
  • Coordinate and resolve various issues with the bank such as cleared check differences, bank fee anomalies, targeted balance calculations and enhancements to online services.
  • Monitor office expenses and tally and enter cash receipts.
  • Pay supplier invoices and track bank account balances.
  • Develop monthly financial statements including cash flow, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual tax returns.
  • Collaborate with the external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
  • Interact with the company's external partners like vendors and clients.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines.
  • Achieve budgeting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective action.
  • Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in the manufacturing/construction industry is a strong plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven bookkeeping experience.
  • Proficiency in Quick Books is a must.
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, income tax and banking.
  • Excellent understanding of the financial cycle and processes.
  • Strong knowledge of business and income tax worksheets and computations.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software with a high level of competency in Excel.

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in the Manufacturing/Construction industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling, managing and overseeing all facets of our company's accounting and financial operations. This includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, financial reporting, and bank reconciliations. The Bookkeeper will also play a critical role in creating and implementing financial procedures to improve and maintain the financial health of our firm.

This is a permanent position requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week.
