Job Description
The Consumer Loan Officer plays a key role in ensuring customers receive appropriate financial products while mitigating credit risks. This position involves working within a small team and requires a strong focus on accuracy in loan documentation and effective portfolio oversight. Occasional travel to client locations helps deepen customer understanding and support ongoing relationship management.
Responsibilities- Evaluate loan applications to determine creditworthiness
- Assess credit risk and recommend loan approval or denial
- Consult with customers to gather necessary financial information
- Review and verify documentation for accuracy and compliance
- Manage loan portfolios to ensure timely repayment and minimize risk
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
- 3+ years experience in consumer lending
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- Skills in credit analysis and loan processing
- Strong customer service and communication abilities
- Effective problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail
