Private Mortgage Banker

• Solicit residential mortgages from various sources
• Produce compliant, high-quality jumbo loans and provide excellent customer service
• Build relationships with affluent borrowers, realtors, builders, financial professionals, bank stores, past customers, and other sources
• Develop and maintain Wells Fargo Home Mortgage visibility in the assigned marketplace
• Stay informed about mortgage industry trends and developments
• Present loan-production recommendations and exercise independent judgment
• Understand and adhere to sales-area policies, procedures, compliance requirements, and loan-generation expectations
• Evaluate real estate appraisals, title reports, and real estate transactions
• Receive customer applications, quote rates and points, and complete registration lock-in follow-up
• Analyze client needs and offer appropriate mortgage loan products
• Review financial and credit data and match customer needs with loan programs and risk levels
• Explain Wells Fargo Home Mortgage programs, rates, policies, underwriting requirements, and procedures
• Maintain timely, proactive customer communication and high client satisfaction
• Pursue Wells Fargo training offerings to increase knowledge of products, policies, procedures, and underwriting requirements

• 2+ years of Private Mortgage Banking Sales experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
• Basic Microsoft Office skills
• Documented retail residential mortgage fundings over the past 12 months, primarily from established local external sources
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Mortgage industry experience
• Knowledge of sales prospecting and generating referrals
• Customer service experience
• Experience working with high net-worth clients
• SAFE registration required at the time of employment
• Must meet Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Loan Originator qualification requirements
• Must meet financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness, and criminal background standards
• Must satisfy ongoing regulatory requirements and additional screening if necessary
• Completion of formal position-specific training programs
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed or scheduled

Demonstrates expertise in residential mortgage banking, including compliance with industry regulations and the ability to build relationships with high net-worth clients. Proficient in analyzing client needs and providing tailored mortgage solutions while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
