Leprino, a global leader in the dairy food and ingredient industry, is seeking a Cheese Slurry (P2) Operator to join our team located in Roswell, NM. Leprino Foods is the world's largest supplier of mozzarella cheese and one of the largest suppliers of premium dairy nutrition ingredients. The Slurry (P2) Operator operates the P2 equipment in a safe and effective manner; maintaining a clean environment and adhering to all the GMP’s, SOP’s, and Critical Control Points pertaining to Food Safety and USDA regulations. The operator must be able to perform basic mathematical functions, communicate well across departments, make computer adjustments to meet product specifications, and enable the cleaning CIP process.

• Hook up for product, physically make all needed connections, and inspect for any leaks.
• Record product temperature, pH, addition rates, ingredients, and other parameters and input this information into the computer.
• Perform correct procedures for legal pasteurization and maintain pasteurization records.
• Maintain filter changes, set shift parameters, monitor equipment operation, and ensure proper operation of all pumps.
• Check can fills and ensure the correct amount of product is added throughout the run.
• Change gaskets and clamps, inspect magnets, and replace as necessary.
• Calibrate and check powder can fill; monitor Readco mixer and inspect auger.
• Change pipes and elbows for the CIP process, ensuring correct connections.
• Properly clean and sanitize all equipment and maintain good housekeeping.
• Perform other duties as assigned by forepersons and supervisors.
• Work in a higher ambient temperature and humidity environment safely around chemicals.
• Work efficiently with minimal supervision and maintain strong communication skills.

Starting compensation for this role is $22.28 to $24.42 per hour, with a night shift premium of $1.25 per hour for hours worked between 6 PM and 6 AM.

• Ability to perform essential job functions safely.
• Minimum age 18.
• Willingness to work Sunday–Saturday, off‑shifts, weekends, holidays, and required overtime for a 24‑hour/7‑day operation.
• Minimum work shift of 8.5 hours.
• Demonstrated accuracy and high degree of detail in work assignments.

• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Intermediate mathematical calculation ability.
• Accurate record‑keeping.

• Good time‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
• Interpret data and make necessary decisions.

• Exposure to ambient temperatures, wet/slippery environment, loud noise.
• Requires close, distance, color, and depth vision for reading computer screens.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50‑60 pounds; bending, squatting, reaching, climbing stairs/ladders as needed.
• Continuous standing and walking during shift.
