Leprino, a global leader in the dairy food and ingredient industry, is seeking a Forklift Operator to join our team located in Roswell, NM. Leprino is the world’s largest supplier of mozzarella cheese and one of the largest suppliers of premium dairy nutrition ingredients. As a Forklift Operator you will be responsible for inspecting document numbers, checking shipping instruction text, inspecting products for any damage, looking over product specification placards, retrieving products from coolers, freezers or the powder room, truck loading and unloading, matching trailer numbers with the tractor number, and moving product to correct locations.

At Leprino Foods, starting compensation for this role typically ranges between $22.48 and $24.42. A night shift premium of $1.25 per hour is added for hours worked between 6 PM and 6 AM.

• Stage and load outgoing cheese, processing and whey products.
• Supply Cheese, Processing and Whey Departments with packaging and other supplies as needed.
• Place finished products in respective warehouse pallet racks (freezer/cooler/dry warehouse).
• Perform general cleaning of freezer, cooler and warehouse.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Forepersons and Supervisors.
• Properly and safely operate a forklift.
• Possess good communication skills.
• Work efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Work in freezer temperatures of
  -10 degrees Fahrenheit.

• Ability to perform essential job functions safely.
• One-year prior manufacturing experience and at least one year of forklift operation experience.
• Experience operating a standup forklift preferred.
• Possess or have the ability to possess Class "A" License.
• Minimum age 18 years.
• Must be able to work Sunday–Saturday, off‑shifts, weekends, holidays, and required overtime to support a 24-hour, 7-day operation.
• Must be able to work a minimum of 12.5 hours.
• Demonstrated ability to complete work assignments with a high degree of accuracy.

• Good communication skills.
• Able to read, write, and speak English.
• Able to read, write, and perform intermediate mathematical calculations.
• Must be able to maintain accurate records.

• Good time management skills.
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
• Able to interpret data and make necessary decisions.

• Exposed to ambient temperatures and a wet/slippery environment with loud noise in varying degrees of temperature.
• Specific vision may be required, including close vision, distance vision, color and depth perception, and the ability to read computer screens for extended time periods.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds or more.
• Bending, squatting, reaching, and climbing stairs/ladders are required throughout the shift.
• Standing and walking are required throughout the shift.
