Leprino Foods is the world’s largest supplier of mozzarella cheese and one of the largest suppliers of premium dairy nutrition ingredients. As a Cheese Sanitation Operator you will be responsible for daily breakdown and sanitizing of equipment on the cheese floor. This includes removing cheese or cheese by‑products from cheese‑make equipment, disassembling and reassembling equipment, ensuring proper sanitization of cheese equipment, and performing general housekeeping duties. Starting compensation for this role is $23.02. A night‑shift premium of $1.25 per hour is added for hours worked between 6 PM and 6 AM.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist team with shutdown procedures.
  • Remove all products from equipment prior to CIP procedures.
  • Disassemble equipment as needed to remove products from interior.
  • Monitor chemical temperature flows and concentrations to ensure CIP programs are functioning properly.
  • Visually inspect equipment as part of the Post‑CIP procedure for cleanliness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by forepersons and supervisors.
  • Work in an environment that is higher in ambient temperature and humidity.
  • Work safely around chemicals.
  • Communicate effectively.
  • Work efficiently with minimal supervision.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to perform essential job functions safely.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Availability to work Sunday‑Saturday, off‑shifts, weekends, holidays, and required overtime to support a 24‑hour/7‑day operation.
  • Minimum work shift of 8.5 hours.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete work assignments with a high degree of accuracy.

Language and Technical

Skills:

  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to perform intermediate mathematical calculations.
  • Maintain accurate records.

Reasoning Ability:

  • Good time management skills.
  • Work independently without direct supervision.
  • Interpret data and make necessary decisions.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Exposure to ambient temperatures and a wet/slippery environment with varying levels of noise.
  • Specific vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, color and depth perception, and ability to read computer screens for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50‑60 pounds.
  • Bending, squatting, reaching, and climbing stairs/ladders required throughout the shift.
  • Standing and walking required throughout the shift.
