Labor & Delivery Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
- 12 months of role experience required with some in the last 12 months.
- Must have at least 10 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience.
- Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.
Requirements:
- Candidates must have a New Mexico license or compact license (required for submission).
- Role may require floating to additional units and locations.
- Travel only; local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility.
- COVID vaccination required after submission; religious and medical declinations accepted.
- Flu vaccination required for submission; religious and medical declinations accepted.
- Pre‑employment modules may be required. Please upload any certifications or health documents.
- References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
- All positions require New Mexico fingerprinting to be completed before start date.
- RNs can start their own IVs. Please ensure RN's submitted have this skill set.
- RTO requests must be listed at time of submission.
Unit Details:
- Assist Pediatrician in LP procedure, circumcision, UVC insertion, intubation, and stabilization.
- Most newborns will room in with parents; newborns requiring IV antibiotics, IV glucose, and respiratory support will remain in the nursery.
- First time travelers welcome.
- Scheduling will be done to fit unit needs and may require nurses to work to cover holes.
- Patient age groups:
Neonates. - Teaching hospital experience:
Preferred. - Community hospital experience:
Preferred. - Years of experience: 1 year L&D and couplet care / LDRP.
Additional Points:
- Option of 36 or 48-hour shift.
- Patient diagnosis: TTN, Hypoglycemia, Sepsis, Respiratory distress, Term newborn.
- Auto-offer position; no interview required.
- Offers require yes/no within 24hrs.
- Maximum 7 days of time off.
- Must provide 2 references from last 3 years (Manager/Supervisor).
- Proof of identification required.
Certifications: NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)
