Summary

As an Oncology Nurse Coordinator, you will play a key role in guiding patients and their families through every step of their healthcare journey. Using the nursing process, you will assess, develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans while proactively anticipating patient needs. Serving as the primary clinical contact, you will provide support, education, and guidance to patients, families, and caregivers, ensuring they feel confident and informed.

In this role, you will coordinate multi‑disciplinary and multi‑site care, facilitate seamless communication among providers, and organize all necessary education and training for the care team. You will also be responsible for promoting an exceptional patient experience by delivering excellent customer service, managing concerns in a timely manner, and ensuring adherence to treatment plans through ongoing contact between visits. Starting hourly rate is $51.65. The actual compensation offered may vary based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and experience.

Qualifications
  • One (1) year of full‑time oncology nursing experience or critical care experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
  • One (1) year of full‑time medical‑surgical experience in an acute care setting and completion of Roswell Park Nursing orientation with the ability to function independently for three (3) months as a Nurse I.
  • Three (3) years of full‑time medical‑surgical experience in an acute care setting and a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
  • Three (3) years of full‑time oncology nursing experience or critical care experience and an Associate’s degree in Nursing.
  • Three (3) years of full‑time medical‑surgical experience in an acute care setting and completion of Roswell Park Nursing orientation with the ability to function independently for three (3) months as a Nurse I, and an Associate’s degree in Nursing.
  • Five (5) years of full‑time medical‑surgical experience in an acute care setting and an Associate’s degree in Nursing.
  • NOTES:

    • Incumbents must obtain and maintain applicable certification within eighteen (18) months of appointment.
    • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within six (6) months of appointment.
    • Incumbents must complete twelve (12) cancer‑related contact hours per calendar year unless certified by the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC).
    • Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college, or university.
