Position Overview

Spring River Rehabilitation & Care Center is seeking compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our clinical team.

As an RN, you will provide and oversee direct nursing care, perform resident assessments, administer medications and treatments, coordinate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members, and provide clinical leadership to nursing staff.

Our RNs are trusted clinical leaders who help ensure residents receive safe, individualized, and high-quality care. You will also have opportunities to mentor nursing staff and students while contributing to a culture focused on accountability, learning, and positive resident outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide and oversee nursing care in accordance with individualized care plans, physician/provider orders, and established clinical standards

  • Perform comprehensive and ongoing resident assessments and promptly respond to changes in condition

  • Administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic interventions safely and accurately within the RN scope of practice

  • Communicate significant changes in resident condition to physicians/providers, families, and appropriate interdisciplinary team members

  • Collaborate with physicians, CNAs, CMAs, LPNs, therapy, pharmacy, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate resident care

  • Supervise, delegate, mentor, and provide clinical guidance to nursing staff

  • Support nursing students and developing healthcare professionals through appropriate education and mentorship

  • Provide education to residents and families regarding medications, treatments, care plans, and health management

  • Maintain accurate, complete, and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR)

  • Respond appropriately to urgent and emergency situations using sound clinical judgment and established protocols

  • Participate in infection prevention, quality assurance, performance improvement, and resident safety initiatives

  • Promote resident dignity, privacy, independence, comfort, and quality of life

  • Maintain compliance with facility policies, professional standards, resident rights, and applicable state and federal requirements

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program

  • Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing in the State of New Mexico

  • Current CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

  • Previous experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, or post-acute care preferred

  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills

  • Ability to effectively supervise, delegate, and provide guidance to nursing staff

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to prioritize multiple clinical responsibilities in a fast-paced healthcare environment

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate clinical documentation

  • Commitment to compassionate, resident-centered care and positive clinical outcomes

  • Willingness to learn, teach, mentor, and contribute to the professional development of the nursing team
