Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse - Night Shift Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care to laboring patients and support couplet care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing patients during labor, triage, and post-operative care for cesarean sections, as well as providing lactation support.
Responsibilities- Provide care for laboring patients and support during vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
- Assist with circumcision and assess post-operative sites.
- Conduct newborn assessments and monitor for conditions such as hypoglycemia.
- Support breastfeeding and lactation needs of new mothers.
- Manage triage of obstetrical patients and couplet care with newborns.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery.
- Current BLS and NRP certifications are required.
- Experience with the Epic charting system is required.
- Previous charge nurse experience is preferred.
This position involves a night shift from 06:00 PM to 06:30 AM, comprising 3 twelve-hour shifts per week with a requirement to work every other weekend.
